Welcome at our menu page. We have selected here a number of special dishes to give you an impression of our menu. It includes some starters, main dishes, and some traditional drinks such as tongba and raksi. Should you have any questions regarding these dishes, please contact us.


Starters (Suruaatharu)

Among our starters we have some well renowned meals. The prices of the starters range from € 2,75 till € 6,50.

Benda Thang (veg.)
Tomatosoup with vegetables and noodles, topped with grated cheese and cream.

Alu Chop (veg.)
Fried potato with Nepalese spices and a croquant layer.

Chicken Chilli
Boneless chicken fried with chilli, onion, capsicum and garlic.

Bhare ko bhede khursaane
Capsicum stuffed with spiced minced lamb

We have six more starters like this, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

Tibetan Main Dishes (Tibetaan Khanekuraaharu)

Our Tibetan main dishes are all prepared with ravioli or noodles, and served with tomato sauce with garlic, coriander pickle and salad. This ravioli is prepared in two different ways in our kitchen: Momo's (steamed) and Kothey (fried). Of course we also have some vegetarian dishes. The prices range from € 8,75 till € 15,-

Momo's Sherpa Style
Tibetan steamed ravioli stuffed with minced lamb. Topped with tomatosauce and cheese. Served with fried potatoes. Also available in vegetarian style, it is filled with spinach then.

Kothey
Tibetan fried ravioli stuffed with minced lamb. Served with fried potatoes and tomato sauce. Also in chicken minced meat available.

Gyakok (min. 2 persons)
A Tibetan mix of meat, shrimps, momo's and vegetables. Served with rice and noodles in a Tibetan Steamer. Also available in vegetarian style.

Shabhalep
Tibetan pizza baked in the oven and stuffed with minced lamb. Topped with tomatosacue and grated cheese. Also available in vegetarian style.

Nepalese Main Dishes (Nepali Khanekuraaharu)

All our Nepalese main dishes are served with black eyed beans, rice, salad and spicy coriander sauce.We have also included some meals that are still traditionally eaten twice a day in Nepal. The Nepalese dishes range in price from € 8,- till € 15,-

Dal Bhaat Tarkari
A simple but nutricient meal that Nepalese eat twice a day. It consists of some lintel, rice and vegetables. For rich Nepalese meat items are prepared.

Khasi ko Masu
Lambs meat, prepared with twelve different spices

Khukaro ko Masu
Boneless chicken prepared with bay leaves, cloves and a touch of fresh coriander.

Chaura Alu ko Tarkari (veg.)
Mushrooms with potatoes cooked in onion, ginger and coriander seed.

Along with these examples we have seven more Nepalese Main dishes, of which some are vegetarian and some are non-vegetarian.

Sidedishes for both Nepalese and Tibetan Main Dishes.

If you're interested to add more varieties to your meal we have six sidedishes in total that vary in price from € 1,50 till € 5,- Of these sidedishes four are described below.

Mis-Mas Tarkari
A seasonal vegetable cooked with garlic, ginger, coriander and turmeric powder.

Chuwela
Cold Newari dish of lamb. Prepared with ginger, garlic, chili powder, turmeric, fungreek sead and mustard oil.

Roti
Typical Nepalese bread, made on an iron pan.

Juju Dhau
A homemade special yoghurt with clove, coconut and cinnamon.

Grill (Sekuwa)

Besides the traditional Nepalese and Tibetan meals we have some meals from the grill. All of these dishes are served with fried potatoes, green beans, salad and barbecuesauce (made of honey and ginger). The reason there's beef (yak) among these meals is that it is being eaten in Tibet only, not in Nepal. The prices range from € 11,25 till € 15,-

Kukhra ko Sekuwa
Boneless chicken marinated in yoghurt with Sherpa spices.

Khasi ko Karan
Lamb rib, marinated in yoghurt with Nepalese herbs and spices.

Mis-Mas Sekuwa
A mix of grilled chicken, spareribs and lamb ribs.

Yak Sekuwa
Steak grilled to your likening.

Deserts (Mithai)

After meal, in Nepal, there is no habit of taking deserts. But if you're looking for some deserts we have some similar items. The prices for the desert range from € 3,- till € 4,-

Drinks (Piunekuraaharu)

Beside the standard drinks such as cola, seven-up, orange juice, beer, wine, etc... we have some special Nepalese and Tibetan drinks for you. Beside the two cocktails we have six other national and international cocktails available.

Raksi
A famous hard drink from Nepal (made of rice).

Tongba
A special grain beer, originally from Tibet

Gudjeswari ko Jhaal
A temple drink coming from the Gudjeswari temple (alcoholic).

Sherpa Cocktail
A nice cocktail with fresh fruits.

Beside the standard coffee and tea, we have some special coffees and teas available, such as:

Butter Tea
Tea with milk, butter and herbs. Available in salt or sweet, as you wish.
